Re: Match Squares Plug-in
Try something more squares you should see it reveal. I am almost done my big one with the fast version been running for 1hr45min and it's about 80% done
aka Tin
In addition to the final image, it is interesting to observe the image created in this process (compare).
One thing that caught my attention is that some of the images created in this process (using this plug-in) do not change the date, and use the date of creation of the original image."I feel that in both art and music, it's not the success that matters but the pleasure it gives you. Focus on the pleasure and the learning will come naturally." - Brian Weston
Now the plugin is very fast. But I'm using large squares, so there are 32 divisions.
But I still don't understand well the need for two images, since only one of them is divided into the desired areas, following some random criteria or similarity with the other image.
I used two images 900 x900. In the process, after the plugin rotated, they ended with 795x795. PS: By my calculations, they were to have 32 squares for the initial image size of 900x900. But as there was a cut, reducing to 795x795 the image size, only 25 squares were created (the ratio is correct for the pixel size stipulated in the plugin: 159)

Here is one where you can see the result kind'a resembles the Old Guitarist using GIMP splash screen's collage layer.

Ummm maybe I'm getting it now.
I left running the same images you used above.
Maybe I can choose better images to test the plugin now that I think I understand what to expect.

Depending on the pair of images used the result can be very interesting.

You got the final outcome! Did it take a long time finally?
But where the red squares come from?
