GT engraved/burned wood effect Script for GIMP

Saleh posted an interesting effect looks like burned wood here: viewtopic.php?t=598&p=4749#p4749
So I thought I would script it.
Here it is:

zipped .py file (unzip, put in your GIMP's /plug-ins/ folder)

Script Menu Location: Python-Fu/GT engrave

Instructions:
1. Have a layer of your art on top of wood texture background layer (optionally you could just have a layer of your art and add the wood texture background layer after the script runs at the very bottom).
2. Run Script on art (topmost) layer and let the magic happen.
